The Latin actually is syntactically more sensible than the English. The thing is that one might interpret the main clause of the Latin as “I am an uncomfortable feeler” or as an instance of the rare-until-Latin-Latin use of a periphrastic form comprising a present participle and a form of esse, which indicates the present progressive tense: “I am feeling uncomfortably.”
